Scanner Trigger

Synchronization is essential for precise timing between the scanner and peripheral equipment. This minimizes timing errors, allowing for more accurate acquisition of physiological and behavioral data.

Components

  1. Scanner Trigger Controller - custom built
    • Converts and conditions the scanner trigger signal.

Interface

The Scanner Trigger system is accessible through BOX.

Fixed inputs

  • Optical connector from a fiber optic cable
  • BNC connector from a coaxial cable
  • Manual test trigger buttons
  • USB interface to program the Arduino Mega

Fixed Outputs

  • 2 BNC connectors with raw (unprocessed) signal
  • 8 BNC connectors with processed signals
