Description
My HomePage provides user-specific information and an oversight of your personal interactions with the CFMS.
The most important page under My HomePage is the My Profile page. This section describes in detail the important functions. Less important functions are described concisely.
Functions
1. My Favorite Instruments
This page displays all instruments set as favorite with a calendar to aid in making quick reservations. Marking instruments as favorite is described in the Instruments section. It shows the same calendar display as in the Calendar View.
2. My Favorite Requests
This page displays all sample submission forms and service requests set as a favorite. Service Requests are not yet supported by CORE GIfMI CFMS.
3. My Reservations
This page shows the list of all reservations made by the user. The list can be searched and exported.
4. My Requests
This page displays all sample submissions forms and service requests submitted by the user. Sample submissions and service requests are not yet supported by CORE GIfMI CFMS.
5. My Supplies
This page displays submitted supply orders made by the user. Supply ordering is not yet supported by CORE GIfMI CFMS.
6. My Projects
This page manages projects in the CFMS. The user can create new or assign themselves to existing projects. Projects are not yet supported by CORE GIfMI CFMS.
7. My Reports
This page enables the user to generate reports based on usage across various facilities, instruments and sample submissions. This section will be extended when the CFMS contains enough data to show a demo.
8. My Profile
This page displays the user profile; labs and facilities affiliations; account codes and training modules (not relevant yet) of the user. The My Profile page is important for the user as it allows quick access
User Wizard
The User Wizard section describes this topic in detail. The User Wizard is the simplest way to request access to labs, facilities and instruments.
User Details
It is highly recommended to complete the user details. Some fields are known at registration. The Actual Usage Tracker (AUT) module is not used and can be discarded.
!!! note
The profile should at least contain a **phone number**. This is the number which will be called in case of issues with reservations or the facility.
Please try to be reachable by phone at least on day before your reservation.
My Labs
This section displays all labs a user is affiliated with.
Provided actions are:
- Check status of lab access
- Set the default lab (selected at login)
- Remove the affiliation of a lab
- Requesting access to another lab, described in detail in the Lab access section
- Exporting the list of affiliated labs
My Facilities
This section displays all facilities a user is affiliated with.
Provided actions are:
- Check status of facility access
- Set the default facility (selected at login)
- Remove the affiliation of a facility
- Select the defaults Session Type, described in detail in Basic concepts and Reservations
- Requesting access to another facility, described in detail in the Facility access section
- Exporting the list of affiliated labs
My Account Code
This section displays all account codes alongside their respective usage permissions.
Provided actions are:
- Set the default account code
My Training Module
This section displays all user-related information on completed training modules. This is for now not relevant in CORE GIfMI but might be added in the future.
9. My Dashboard
This page displays personal reports and usage statistics. This can be useful for reporting and budget management. It also tracks all types of requests.
10. My Publications
This is not enabled in the CFMS.
11. My Agenda
This page shows all reservations made by the user in the CFMS. It also allows to define and manage tasks within the CFMS.
